Davey & Florey Associates, Certified Public Accountants, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our office is at Biika House, 1st Floor, Suite No. 1, Plot 1601/1247, off Kiira Road, Kamwokya, P.O. Box 40306, Kampala, Uganda.

This notice covers this website and its enquiry form. Personal data we receive when providing professional services to clients is covered by the terms of each engagement.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form on the Contact page, we collect:
- your name, email address and message (required, so that we can reply);
- your organisation, telephone number and the service you are interested in (optional).
If you leave out the required details we cannot reply to your enquiry. You can always call or email us instead.
If you email or call us directly, we receive the details you choose to give us.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not ask you to create an account.
Why we use it
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss or propose our services. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the enquiry form. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing lists.
Who receives it
- Our partners and staff who need it to answer your enquiry.
- Web3Forms, the service that delivers the enquiry form to our email inbox. It processes your enquiry on servers outside Uganda.
- Our email and website hosting providers, which store and deliver our email and this website.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this website; your browser contacts Google to load them, which shares your device's IP address with Google.
We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.
Transfers outside Uganda
Web3Forms and some of our service providers process data outside Uganda. We send your enquiry through Web3Forms only with your agreement, given by ticking the consent box on the form. If you prefer that your details stay in Uganda, call or email us directly instead of using the form.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 24 months – to confirm after our last contact with you, and then delete them. If you become a client, your details are kept for as long as the law and our professional obligations require.
How we protect it
The website and enquiry form use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is limited to the people at the firm who need it, and we expect our service providers to protect your data to a standard at least equal to Uganda's law.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal data about you, tell you what it is and why we hold it, and who has received it;
- correct, update, block, erase or destroy data that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or unlawfully held;
- stop processing that causes, or is likely to cause, you substantial damage or distress;
- not take decisions about you based solely on automated processing; we do not make such decisions;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

Complaints
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Office, the regulator under the National Information Technology Authority, Uganda: pdpo.go.ug.
Children
This website is intended for organisations and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through it.
